Absolutely not! Clients come to us for a variety of reasons including but not limited to; the diagnosis of an illness, chronic pain, divorce, marriage separation, school/work issues, life changing events and anxiety.

There is no timetable on grief or when someone is ready to confront it, therefore at BCGC, it doesn’t matter how much or how little time has passed since you’ve experienced a life changing event, we are here for you. We have had clients come in for their first appointment as soon as the day after a funeral and as far out as 4 years after their loved one died. Everyone's journey is different, everyone's life circumstances are different, and we treat everyone individually because of this. We make no assumption as to where you are or where you "should" be.

You should expect to be welcomed by a warm and inviting office led by professional and empathetically trained therapists. You should expect to feel at ease when you sit down with us.  You should expect to have someone listen to all of the details that make your story yours.  You should expect that we will make every effort to accomodate your needs and make appointments that are convenient for you.  You should expect to feel like you have found the right place to help you navigate your current moment in life.

This is a hard question to answer as all people are different. So many ingredients go into a client’s journey which naturally impact the amount of time you will spend with us. As a matter of fact, we have found that the grief process oftentimes uncovers other issues that we have become masters at hiding. In our office we will work with you on any issue that is causing you stress or preventing positive personal growth.

The sessions are 45 minutes long and in most cases, particularly in the begining, we will meet weekly.

Great question, yes there is a fee for our services. There are a few different ways we structure our fees, please call us to discuss the options. Additionally, if you have out-of-network benefits through your health insurance company, typically a sizable percentage can be reimbursed back to you. Please call your individual health insurance company to see what your plan offers regarding mental health counseling.
